Missions - Cuba Trip
In January, 2006, I traveled to Cuba with the Joshua Nations Ministry group from Arvada, Colorado.
There were 22 of us on the ministry team. This caused us to require a tour bus in order to travel
inside of Cuba.
We had a pastor traveling with us who had been traveling to Cuba for the last ten years to minister. We also
had a famous Cuban singer, Rosendo Diaz, traveling with us who sang and giving us his testimony in our
meetings.
I felt that God was showing me that His Spirit was moving over the islands of the sea like a fog and reclaiming
them for Himself!
We arrived by plane in Havana and stayed there for about one day. We left there and drove by bus more than
600 moles down the island of Cuba to the east. We traveled to five cities and ministered in about 30 churches.
We were blessed by the presence of the Holy Spirit.
We traveled to a Cespedes where we stayed for about three days where we ministered in a Pentecostal Baptist
church This church had seen many miracles including the raising of the pastor’s son from the dead. We met
this boy and saw him participating on the worship team. This boy had been hurt in a car wreck in which his
throat had been cut.
We saw the Holy Spirit falling during the last evening service in the Baptist church as people were weeping and
repenting. We also saw the worship team weeping and laying on the floor. It was amazing to see.
We traveled to Camaguey where we attended and participated in the Sunday morning services. We then split
up in small groups to minister on Sunday evening in some smaller churches. We saw salvations, healings
and people receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. God’s Spirit was moving mightily.
We then traveled to Palma Soriano where we stayed for about four days where we ministered in an Assembly
of God church. We had several services in this large church but also split up in small groups and ministered in
smaller churches. We saw many people weeping, repenting and many reported healings.
We traveled to Santo Espiritu where we attended and ministered in a pastor’s conference at an Assembly of
God church. We ministered at this church in some special meetings and also split up in small groups to
minister in some smaller area churches. At the final service at the Assembly of God church, we saw the Holy
Spirit fall on the service. Many people were weeping and lying on the floor. People testified of being healed. It
seemed to be a life changing event for the church and the town.
The greatest part of this service was our two bus drivers gave their lives to the Lord!!! We were amazed to see
the changes that occurred in our bus drivers over the two week trip! Only God can change people!
