Missions - Nigeria Trip
In January, 2005, I traveled with a mission group from Calvary Community Church to Port
Harcourt, Nigeria. We were invited by Rev Mosy Madugba, our host who is a prolific author and
anointed minister of God. This group of seven led by Pastor Jeff McGee traveled through Paris, France
to Lagos, Nigeria and on to Port Harcourt.
The mission team went to a church in Port Harcourt on the night we arrived to have a dinner and have a
time of ministry. In Port Harcourt, the team attended, spoke at and did prayer ministry at the 2005
Ministers Prayer Network Prayer Conference. There were between 10,000 and 20,000 pastors,
ministers and Christians attending the conference during the six days of meetings. We saw many
miracles, many visions, many prophetic words were reported and many enjoyed the awesome
preaching, teaching & worship. The people of Nigeria blessed the mission team with wonderful
hospitality and many wonderful meals and times of celebration.
On Saturday many of the mission team went by bus out to a village down miles of dirt roads. We
attended a crusade for a group of villages at Ohanku that had been going on for several weeks. The
mission team prayed for the elderly people from the villages at the crusade. We were able to participate
in a transformation event. The king of the villages and his tribal chiefs with about 2000 villagers
attended the crusade. A time of repentance was done by the village leaders and the villagers for having
driven away the white missionaries in the 1920’s. Men on the mission team representing the white
missionaries then repented and forgave the villagers. A miracle was reported that water suddenly
flowed through the pipes that had been rusted shut for years in the villages. On the third day after the
repentance, workers came out to start to build paved roads to replace the dirt roads. The village is now
experiencing a move a God.
The mission team split up on Sunday and went to many different churches in the area and spoke and
ministered in powerful services.
There were many divine appointments on the trip where God positioned the team to touch people for
God. One of these events was where we able to prophesy over a man who was the representative to
the U.N. from the local region of Africa. We heard many reports of miracles and deliverances. We were
blessed by being able to attend the transformation event in the rural villages in Nigeria. This
transformation event was reported in Charisma magazine by J. Lee Grady.
